Inline code
This is inline code created by putting backticks around the string: printf()
.
This inline code has spaces between the backticks and the string, but the
spaces aren't rendered: printf()
.
Double backticks
Use double backticks when inline code includes a literal backtick:
inline code with a ` inside
.
Add spaces around just a single backtick: `
.
Otherwise, it will render like this: `````.
HTML syntax
Angle brackets (<html>
) and ampersands (—
) within an inline code span
are automatically encoded as HTML entities.
